About Me

I am a newly graduated Geneticist, looking to help teach young and upcoming students science and maths. I will soon be relocating to West London to start my masters in Cancer Biology and Imperial College London, so will only be available in the evenings on weekdays and weekends starting the 1st October. I achieved a 1st Class with Honours in my undergraduate degree, as well as achieving a-levels in biology, chemistry and maths. I also have 9 A*-C GCSEs which include English (A), Maths (A) and Science (AB).

About my sessions

My sessions will be fun and interactive, particularly for younger students. I will be putting emphasis on visual and kinaesthetic learning approaches, coaching students through tough questions and finishing off every session with a short test (comprising of 5-10 questions) to help consolidate their learning. I will also expect some practice to be done in between sessions, which should be brought to the session and marked together.

For GCSE level students, particularly those in year 11, a large amount of time will be placed on revision, with past exam papers being set between each session, which will be marked and feedback given at the start of each session. I will still make sure each session is interactive and enjoyable for those students soon to be undertaking their GCSEs, in the form of quizzes or poster/mind map making.
