GCSE Maths A-Level Maths A Level Further Maths A Level Economics
Hi there, my name is Jasdeep and I am a student looking to tutor Maths, Further maths and Economics in my spare time. I finished my A-levels at Brampton Manor Academy in these subjects in summer 2022, and hope to study a degree in Economics at either LSE or Cambridge, with predicted A*A*A*. I’ve had experience tutoring family and have had tutoring myself in the past, so I believe I can relate and understand to what a student exactly requires for success.
For a Maths/ Further maths
session, I would ask the student which topics they would like to specifically
cover in order to target knowledge gaps in each subject – this I believe is
more efficient than going through the entire course from the beginning, as some
students may already be confident with some topics, which would mean the lesson
is not optimised. I would teach the provided topic in depth with examples from
exam board textbooks (preferably Edexcel), and then provide exam questions at
the end for the student to try independently, or alongside myself if help is
required. The student can receive the lesson notes and some extra exam
resources if requested.
For an Economics session,
the specification of any exam board is crucial. Topics on the specification
chosen by the student beforehand will be revised meticulously with definitions,
ideas and other relating topics that can be intertwined within writing. Essay
plans can also be made with both tutor-student inputs within lessons, and essay
structures can also be taught (preferably OCR). Students can also receive
lesson notes and practice essay questions if requested.
