About Me

I am a friendly and supportive tutor who specialises in Maths and Computer Science, having completed my A-Levels with plans to further study the subject that enthrals me the most (Computer Science) at undergraduate level in September, I am very familiar with the new specification and its requirements. I’ve always quite enjoyed Maths and Computer science and hope to instil similar attitudes and experiences within my students. I am a freelance software developer in my free time which means I am proficient at programming and can help students with their programming skills as well as critical and analytical skills for their NEA's. Alongside being a software developer, I also play hockey as a hobby for the Men's 1's in Redbridge & Ilford Hockey Club.

About my sessions

My sessions include a visual share of my screen alongside a drawing tablet to mimic the experience of a whiteboard just like in real classrooms. Furthermore, the feature acts as an excellent visual aid that allows students to easily follow and picture the content we’re going through as I annotate them for you. I believe learning is more memorable in this manner however I am always happy to adjust my teaching strategies to your preferences.

I like to give regular end of unit tests to track students’ progress as well as help them identify their strengths and weaknesses so that we can then focus on those areas, to help you improve whether that be through revisiting the topic or going over challenging exam questions, ultimately preparing you for the final assessment.

As a student, I’ve always appreciated my teachers’ guided support and practical demonstrations, thus I also intend to scaffold my students and show them how to approach difficult questions by solving the problems together. Furthermore, this is a great way to maintain student engagement and reinforce their understanding of the topic.
